Xie Yuling and Su Baiyi sensed something was wrong from Feng Zuojun’s tone, and quickly turned their heads, only to see that the monk had already stopped his attack, and retreated to the side. Nangong Xi’er also sheathed her sword, and turned around.
In the distance, three figures appeared in the mist on the official road.
“Boss, it seems someone beat us to the punch, huh.” A man carrying a long knife walked out of the mist first, with a casual tone. “Yo, a monk and a woman, interesting.”
“Monk.” Another man walked out of the mist, his voice sounding much more steady. “You look somewhat familiar.”
That Jie Qing Bu Jie Se had always maintained a calm smile on his face, even when he was fighting Nangong Xi’er with his fists. But when he saw these two people appear, his expression slowly froze. He frowned and said, “Why are they here?”
“Who are they?” Nangong Xi’er had just fought with this monk, but for some reason, she didn’t have much hostility towards him. But these two people who appeared now made her feel wary.
“They are from the Feather Division of the Courtyard of Clear Sky of Shanglin Heavenly Palace.” Jie Qing said solemnly. “This group of people are all named after birds, and they are notoriously difficult to deal with. These two are called Chiwu (Red Crow) and Shaque (Sand Sparrow), and they are both powerful and not easy to handle.”
“Courtyard of Clear Sky, huh.” Nangong Xi’er sneered. “From your look, you are not on the same side as them. As expected, Shanglin Heavenly Palace is now a mess inside, and they are all dogs biting dogs.”
“It’s not very nice for you to say that, miss.” Jie Qing coughed lightly. “They came here either to kill Su Baiyi or to kidnap him, but I’m different.”
“What’s the difference?”
“I’m here to reunite Su Baiyi with his master.”
“Who is it, so much nonsense.” The third person walked out slowly, carrying a long knife on his shoulders, his hands resting on it, his head hanging listlessly, yawning every step as if he was going to fall asleep at any moment. He walked to the front of the other two, and asked faintly, “You guys, who is Su Baiyi?”
Su Baiyi scratched his head helplessly. “I didn’t expect that I would become famous as soon as I entered the Jianghu. How come everyone I met tonight is looking for me?”
“Boss, that monk seems to be…”
“Hmm?” The man frowned and looked up. “What monk?”
“It’s you.” The man and Jie Qing exclaimed at the same time.
“Old acquaintances?” Nangong Xi’er asked.
“More than old acquaintances, that’s simply not knowing each other without fighting.” Jie Qing twitched his mouth slightly. “Miss, protect Su Baiyi well. This guy is a madman. He is the number one killer of the Feather Division of the Courtyard of Clear Sky, Wuya (Raven).”
“Monk, long time no see.” The man raised his eyebrows and threw down the long knife from his shoulder, which shone like snow under the moonlight. His originally listless face also became extremely sharp. “You disappeared after you left the mountain. I thought you were dead.”
“Wuya is indeed only good at being a raven’s mouth.” Jie Qing took a step back.
“But a raven’s mouth is very accurate, especially when it comes to announcing death.” The man called Wuya moved his gaze away from the monk and glanced at Nangong Xi’er before looking at the three people on the carriage. “It’s a pity, though. I’m not here for you today.”
“Run!” Jie Qing shouted.
Su Baiyi immediately raised his whip, but it was too late. He hadn’t swung it down yet, but saw Wuya throw out his long knife, which smashed directly on the carriage, and shattered the back half of it.
“Don’t even think about it!” Nangong Xi’er swung out her sword.
“Stop them.” Wuya shouted and leaped out.
Nangong Xi’er’s sword hit a long knife, which had more than a dozen iron rings hanging on its back edge. After this strike, they all shook and made a clanging sound.
“This beautiful young lady, your opponent is me.” Chiwu licked his lips and sighed. “You’re really pretty.”
“Jie Se.” Shaque blocked the monk’s way. “Long time no see. How’s life outside the mountain?”
Jie Qing slapped out, “Who wants to catch up with you!”
Wuya rushed straight towards the long knife that was nailed to the carriage. Feng Zuojun hastily grabbed a long saber he had purchased during the journey from the carriage and shouted, “Great winds rise, for three thousand miles!”
He slashed down with his saber.
In the academy, Feng Zuojun had also tried to use this Great Wind Blade Technique, but the fragile bamboo sword could never withstand the vast blade wind, and it always broke into pieces. Now that he finally had an iron saber in his hand, Feng Zuojun was confident that he could stop this man.
But Wuya raised his eyebrows slightly, with a hint of contempt in his tone, “Oh? The Great Wind Blade Technique of the Heavenly Dawn Cloud Realm? It’s said that when the great wind rises, it can stir up sand for three thousand miles. But why can’t your blade even move a single hair of mine?” He effortlessly pinched Feng Zuojun’s long saber between two fingers.
Feng Zuojun smiled and said, “You fell into my trap.”
He saw that Xie Yuling had somehow come to Wuya’s side, and hit him on the back with his fan.
“Idiot, there is no such thing as a trap in the face of absolute strength.” With a gentle twist of his right hand, he snapped off the tip of the blade and flicked it casually towards Xie Yuling’s face.
“Be careful!” Feng Zuojun hadn’t expected the man to completely ignore his saber’s energy and effortlessly snap his blade with a single finger.
But it was too late. Xie Yuling was hit by the fragment of the knife, and his head tilted back. His body swayed and seemed to fall at any moment.
“Fortunately, it’s not Su Baiyi who died.” Wuya sidestepped and pulled out the long knife that was stuck on the carriage. He looked at Feng Zuojun. “If you don’t want to die…” He didn’t finish his sentence, when he suddenly felt a sense of danger. He quickly turned around and raised the long knife to his throat.
He saw that Xie Yuling didn’t fall after swaying a few times, but instead steadied himself, his head snapping back upright. Blood trickled from his mouth where he had caught the broken blade tip between his teeth. With a forceful jerk towards Wuya , he flung the blade tip away.
Wuya lifted his long knife slightly, deflecting the blade tip. But he was still a few steps late, and the knife tip grazed his cheek. Wuya lowered his long knife and smiled. “What’s your name?”
Xie Yuling wiped the blood from his mouth, “Xie Yuling from Xie family.”
“Is it that Xie family that produced a lot of trash?” Wuya also wiped the blood from his face.
“It’s that Xie family that produced Xie Kanhua!” Xie Yuling said solemnly.
Thank you very much
